This minor update contains some minor changes to various aspects of the application and major improvements to two existing features.



Placements Feature Improvement


The Placements feature has been updated and improved to make it more user-friendly.  When you open a placement, the screen is better organized and has new features that greatly enhance how users interact with Placements.



Placements now have relevant stats at the very top providing a snapshot of the overall work done on the placement.  Directly below the stats area are the details of the placement, divided into sections.  In the example figure above, you can see the Candidate and Company Information sections, each with their own Edit button.  


Invoice Details

The Invoice Details section has all of the necessary fields for creating an invoice right in HA.  The invoice for each placement is automatically created when you load the Placement screen in HA.  This ensures that the most up-to-date  information is contained on the invoice.  In addition, whenever you click the Email or PDF icons in the actions menu of the Invoice Details section, the PDF document is re-created so you're always seeing a fresh copy.



Clicking the Email Invoice button will automatically send the invoice as a PDF to all users involved in the placement as well as the invoice administrator setup by the HA admin in the Admin area of HA.  Clicking the PDF icon will open the invoice in a new browser tab and allow users to download and/or print the invoice right from the browser.


The View Invoice button opens the invoice in a dialogue window, without having to leave the page.  This is useful for a quick view of the invoice, however, it opens the current version and does not update it.


Split Placement Details

Splits between multiple users, including PC's and IR's is easily handled by HA.  In the placement screen, simply click on the Add/Edit Splits icon, as shown in the figure below.  This will open a dialogue window that will give users the ability to configure split placements between multiple users.

In addition to these, there is also a Cash In section where users can easily add payments to the placement.  Every action taken on a placement records to the Placement History log, which helps administrators know who is doing what with the placement, including when cash was added to a placement and who added the cash.



Career Milestones Feature

The Career Milestones feature was an under-developed feature until this release.  Administrators had the ability to create milestones and add achieved milestones but it all had to be done manually.  With this release we're pleased to announce that the Milestones feature is now completely automated.  Managers/Administrators will be notified when a user is within 80% of a career cash in milestone and a notification is sent out when a user achieves a milestone.  This includes Pacesetter achievement each calendar year.



Most of the enhancements to this feature were in the Admin area where administrators of HA can now completely configure all elements of Milestones.  For standard users, in addition to now getting email notifications when they achieve a milestone, they can also see their milestones on their Profile page.  Plus, there is now a link to view their progress toward lifetime cash in milestones.



Chipboard Notification

As part of this feature, an icon has been added to the Chipboard that will light up green when a user has achieved a milestone in the current calendar month and it will remain green throughout the entire month.  



As with other chipboard icons, admins have the ability to turn this icon off in the Chipboard Settings area.


Milestones User Report

A report has been added to the Users Reports area called the Milestones Report.  This report allows you to see the progress of users towards all milestones or the milestones selected in the filter options.  You can view a single user's milestone progress, multiple users or all users.  


The figure below shows the All Users report for All Milestones.  When a user has achieved a milestone, their progress bar will be green and show the date that the user achieved the milestone.  Below the users who have achieved the milestone is the list of users who are working toward that milestone and their progress bar shows the value of their cash in (for lifetime cash in milestones).  





Contests Feature

The contests feature has been slightly updated from Version 2.2.  The front-end display of contests results has been vastly improved.


  • Contest results are now grouped by user and totaled.  Previously, contest results were listed out one-by-one so if a user won on multiple days, there were multiple rows for that user.  
  • Reward column added along with the Reward Total--this gives users and admins the ability to see the reward value of the contest.
  • Contest Rules: the contest rules area is new for this release and is shown in the footer of every contest.
  • Overall design updates to make this feature appear more like other aspects of the app.



Other Changes

In addition to the changes outlined above there were a few other bug fixes and minor changes made for this release:


  • Split placements were not counting in the effort score--this has been fixed
  • Issues with the placements cron and NULL field values has been fixed.  This issue was preventing new placements from being added to HA.
  • Refresh of the chipboard has been fixed so that it uses the timezone set by the HA administrator.  Previously, it was set to refresh at midnight Eastern Time.
  • Chipboard: the function that displays the placements chips was updated to properly display split placements
  • Fixed some bugs in the Contests feature for admins such as contests being marked as completed when you make a change to a contest
  • RingCentral API fixed so that the Account ID can be configured by the HA admins
  • "Submit a New Ticket" link added to the footer of the app
