While a majority of split placements are percentage-based there may be instances where you need to record a flat credit split.  One example used in the figure below is an instance where the Lead AE wants to give a little bit of fee credit to another AE but retain the placement credit for themselves.  


In this example, the placement fee is $30,000.  The Lead Account Executive is taking billing credit of $28,000 and giving $2,000 in billing to another AE.  However, the Lead AE is retaining the full placement credit rather than splitting credit with the other AE.  As you can see in the example figure below, the split partner gets a Placement Value of zero and the Lead AE gets a placement value of 1.  

If it was negotiated that the Lead AE gets to keep all but $2,000 of the fee but they are splitting the placement 50/50, then you would simply enter 0.50 in the Placement Value field for each AE.
